My Girl
June 12, 1994--April 13, 2007

This is really hard to write, but I wanted to let you all know. Spirit passed away on Friday. She had been sick on and off for a little while, but she got really bad this past week. She lost almost two pounds in a week, and the vet. said it would only get worse. Mom and Dad did the only thing they could to make it better--put her down. They said she just went to sleep peacefully. She'll always be my girl.

I have some things to say to my friends out there....

Christy--I miss you. I miss giving you hugs when you need them, and I wish we still lived near each other. I really want your life to go well. I think about you a lot, and I wish I could make everything right for you. Unfortunately, I can't and don't know how, but just remember that I love you, and I'll always be here for you.

Katie--I've been a bad friend. :( I think about you a lot...I really do. It was so wonderful being a part of your wedding, and it was an honor. I don't want your wedding to be one of the last memories we have together. I promise to be a better friend.

Theresa--I think about you when I do my pilates. :) Do you remember when we used to do it together every day? It was fun! I still don't do pilates every day, but I'm getting into a workout routine. I love reading your journal, and I"m glad you've found a job you like. I hope you find your spot in the world with the person who will make your life complete.

Ricky--I hope you feel better. :) I wish we could meet up sometime. It's been forever since we've seen each other. I would love for you to meet Dan. He's amazing. You'll love him. :)

Kate--You are an amazing writer! I love reading your journals! I wish we could've been better friends in high school, but I feel lucky to even know you. I'm so glad your life is going well, but I'm sorry it took you six hours to get home the other day. :)

Alisha--I really hope everything that's going on in your life gets worked out. I'm so happy you and Tim are together. You make him so happy, and I can tell that even though Tim and I don't talk much any more. Keep your chin up...everything will work out.

I'm off to finish writing my personal statement for a graduate teaching position for next year. I just felt compelled to write you all a note. I hope it put a smile on your face. :)
